Confessions - Is This You?
I work hard to achieve my goals in life.
I care about my future.
I work long hours to maintain my standard of living.
I don't have time for too much else.
All my free time is used in yard work, shopping, playing a little golf, and a little
relaxation.
But I attend church and pay tithes.
I can't afford to lose my job, I need the money.
I don't have time for Bible study.
I don't have time to visit the sick or elderly.
I don't pray because I can't find the time.
I don't have enough money to share with the poor,
I have bills to pay, and my savings is not that much.
I give some canned food to the church food pantry, sometimes.
I don't have time to fellowship or witness as some do.
That's really the pastor's job.
Our church is really growing, because we are building a new fellowship hall and dining
facility. We just purchased a new piano and I heard we are getting on television. We don't
have enough money left over to send to missionaries or poor churches in other countries,
or even help the local homeless.
They should get a job.
My life is too busy and I have to think about my retirement.
I have too much to lose to give up my job, I have retirement, medical, and life insurance,
I can't just walk away from that!
I would be crazy to quit my job.
The world is a cold place- I have to think of myself.
Well, I have to go now, it's late and I have to be at my best tomorrow at work, because I
am up for a promotion.
I don't have time to read the Bible tonight- it seems I never do.
