 RECEIVE GOD'S LOVE SO THAT YOU CAN IN TURN
GIVE LOVE
The purpose for life here on earth
is to give and receive Love. God's Love is perfect so that which He gives contains no
flaws. His Love is not tainted with jealousy, faultfinding, or favoritism.
When we show acts of Love to others
it is God showing them His Love through us. God chooses the manner in which Love is given.
For instance- You hear of a family with children whose home has burned to the ground and
they have no clothes to wear but those that are on their backs. You say to yourself,
"I have some clothes that our children have outgrown and I know this family could use
them". You take the clothes to the family and they are overwhelmed by your
generosity. Surely God knew that this family would have a need and that you would be the
one to fill it.
In giving more Love to others we
receive more Love from God.
Luke 9:46-48 - Jesus' followers
began to have an argument about which one of them was the greatest. Jesus knew what they
were thinking, so he took a little child and stood the child beside him. Then Jesus said,
"Whoever accepts this little child in my name accepts me. And whoever accepts me
accepts the One who sent me, because whoever is least among you all is really the
greatest."
Acts 20:35 - I showed you in all
things that you should work as I did and help the weak. I taught you to remember the words
Jesus said: "It is more blessed to give than to receive."
Prayer: Dear Father help me to give
to those who are hungry for Love and Truth. Amen.
