BELIEVING IN GOD'S GOODNESS NO MATTER WHAT
HAPPENS AND IN ALL SITUATIONS
It's all about "keeping the
faith." We all know how beautiful a butterfly is. Their markings and colors contain
an artist's palette of paint plus a masterful blending of colors. But - think of how the
butterfly started out - ugly stages of larvae and cocoon. The butterfly didn't say
"I'm ugly and I will never be beautiful." Instead he "kept the faith"
and when he became fully developed he was a beautiful butterfly.
Our life is similar to the
butterfly in a spiritual manner. God has to use life situations (grief, hurt,
disappointment) to develop us into His image. We can't stop our growing process just
because of one negative experience. We need to "keep the faith" and continue to
grow in God's will and in His time. Since we are continually in different phases or stages
of growth; like the butterfly we need to think like this: "this too shall soon
pass." Before long we will be a beautiful specimen of God's Love.
Matthew 10:29 - Are not two
sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will
of your father.
1 Peter 1:6-7 - This makes you very
happy, even though now for a short time different kinds of troubles may make you sad.
These troubles come to prove that your faith is pure. This purity of faith is worth more
than gold, which can be proved to be pure by fire but will ruin, but the purity of your
faith will bring you praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is shown to you.
Prayer: Dear Father help me to
always understand and believe in Your Infinite Goodness, and not be confused when events
in my life try to persuade me otherwise. Amen
