BEING TRUE TO THINE OWN SELF IS ALSO BEING
TRUE TO YOUR BRETHREN AND TO GOD
Have you ever noticed a grapevine?
It's branches are intertwined one around the other connecting branches. So as Christians
we are like the grapevine - we are connected spiritually to other Christians as well as to
Jesus and to God. This forms a oneness. What happens to one is felt by all the others.
There is an old adage - "A
chain is only as strong as its weakest link." We are the body of Christ.
In being true to ourselves we do
set an example for others to follow and strengthen the whole body of Christ.
We are the "light of the
world". Thus we are true to our brethren and to God.
Hebrews 10:22 - Let us come near to
God with a sincere heart and a sure faith, because we have been made free from a guilty
conscience, and our bodies have been washed in pure water.
Luke 16:10 - Whoever can be trusted
with a little can also be trusted with a lot, and whoever is dishonest with a little is
dishonest with a lot.
Revelation 17:14 - They will make
war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them, because he is Lord of Lords and King
of Kings. He will defeat them with his called, chosen, and faithful followers.
Prayer: Dear Father bless me
with a brave and true heart. Amen
